In just under two weeks, NDV will be appearing in Basel, Switzerland, in the European Festival of Youth Choirs. I hear your skepticism. Youth, eh?
Oh ye skeptics. You missed the news about the NDV Youth Choir. Set up in September 2013 and made up of NDV current members and alumni under the age of 25, this choir is already making waves in the choral world. Last week, Sunday 11th May, on its premier showing on Ireland’s choral stage, the youth choir secured three first prizes in the Navan choral festival, and a second prize. Amongst these prizes was the crowning competition of National Choir of the Year!
If you’re interesting in hearing the wonderful sound this new and youthful NDV makes, come along to Christchurch cathedral this Sunday 18th May as we share a concert with the Capital University Chapel choir from the States. We look forward to greeting you there!
